Our current fire apparatus fleet consists of two engines, two ambulances, two tenders, one brush truck, one brush ATV, one utility ATV, one medium-duty rescue truck, one technical rescue truck, two command SUVs, one utility pickup, and multiple specialty trailers. The SFD training grounds are located on Dyea Road and consist of a burn trailer, search and rescue building, SCBA confidence course, vehicles for extrication training, multiple training props, fire equipment storage, and a 12,000 gallon water supply. The living area is fully outfitted for full time crews with kitchen, day room, gym, and bunk rooms. Inside, there are offices for the executive officers, training/hose tower, conference and training rooms and large apparatus bays.
